Event Description

Welcome to an example Event Listing.

Obviously, we can't include your actual events, so... We've given you some suggestions for a first event listing.

What Event Should I Create First?

  • Let's practice... chances are... your engagement has passed. Most folks have an engagement party, it might be a small dinner with friends and family or might be a larger more formal affair.
  • The good news is... that you probably have all of the details, where, when, who, food details, etc.... so it will be easy to create.

How Would I Start?

  • Grab a NotePad, and start by writing down some of the facts. Include information for inviting friends/family. Include dates, times, addresses, driving directions, the menu, the party planner, telephone numbers, email addresses. etc.
  • Writing your information down on paper helps you compose each event, iron out details, and collect all the information. Then, with your NotePad in-hand, creating the event is easy.
  • Having the information handy makes the computer/online part much easier. You can then concentrate on typing, and getting familiar with WeddingWeblog.
  • Login to your WeddingWeblog. Go to your "Events Manager", and choose the "Add a Shower/Party Event"
  • You then can start to enter the details. Remember, as an exercise, put in all the information, and make an informational event listing. The Event Wizard is 5 Steps long, and the Event Location is 3 Steps long. You can practice here, for other Events and Event Locations.

What's The Benefit?

  • Events, past, present, & future... become an important part of your wedding story online. Between the event details and scrapbook stories about the engagement party, folks will see how your love story started.
  • The best part is... If you make a mistake on this event... it has already past... no one will be late... get lost... but it will help you see the whole process work... Great Practice for the larger events.
