Welcome to the Sample Scrapbook Story.

We put this here as an Example, but we'd like to give you some suggestions about creating your first scrapbook entry.

What Should I Write About

First, grab a NotePad, the first few scrapbook stories might need to be written out on paper, making it easier when you compose them in the computer.

You can write about anything you'd like... it's your WeddingWeblog... there are no limits. Here's some ideas...

  • "How We Met" - This one's an old favorite... this is how your love story began. By the way, most of your friends and family will want to know this story. You can have one by the bride and one by the groom. You can write it together in a "He Said, She Said" dialog. This one is usually the beginning but not necessarily the easiest to write.
  • "How I knew he/she was the one" - Also a great story, and it will be asked about. You can expand your story into dating and the everyday things that you love about your fiance.
  • "My Family" "My Background" - You can write about where you are from, how you grew up, you friends and family. Who are these people, what makes them special.
  • "How He Proposed" - Some folks have great stories, down on one knee in a special place, others are more private and romantic. Either way, this story will need to be told, because everyone will beg you to tell the story. You can write one from each Point of View, and add a "How I Proposed to Her"
  • "Your Wedding Diary" - As you wait to get married, record everything... How are you feeling? What makes this special? What are you excited about? Which dress are you leaning towards? How long do you think the tablecloths should be? What kind of favors would you consider? A surprise shower, tell them about it. Found some bridesmaid's dresses on web, where , let them link to it. You can write these entries... just like a paper diary... start with "Dear Diary," and write a letter to a close friend. It's as easy as that.

You'll need some photos

  • We've put some random sample photos in here for you... but it's not nearly as exciting as using your own. These photos can help you try out the collage tools and see how the site works, but that's about all they're for.

Sources of Photos

  • Digital Cameras - This is the most popular way to get photos of you in the Gallery. You will have to "upload" your photos to transfer them from your computer to the WeddingWeblog.com system. It's easy enough and can handle as many photos as you'd like. You can arrange them into Galleries, and have your friends help from their computers. Simply transfer the photos to your computer, and you'll be able to upload them in a jiffy... we'll handle the rest.... where they go, the sizes, resolutions, etc.
  • Snapshots - Older film based and even disposable cameras can also be used. You can use a home computer scanner to scan them into your computer.... or you can take the film/prints/negatives to your photo developer and have them put onto a computer CD-ROM for you. Most photo developers offer this CD-ROM service for a small fee.
  • Your Photographer - Each one of your Photo Galleries provides special photographer access. Set it up in the Photo Gallery tool, and your photographer may upload photos for you. This tool is great for amateurs and professionals alike.
