Welcome to our online digital scrapbook. This wedding scrapbook is special, because we can share it with so many people. This is our chance to do some storytelling about our past, our history together, and our thoughts and dreams. Later on, we'll share stories and photos of our events, as they pass and let everybody share the good memories.
Like every scrapbook, each page in our scrapbook will paint the picture of our life as we get married. If you enjoy these stories, send us a Wedding Wish in the Guest Center.
We've also included our trove of online photos, photos in the Photo Galleries are located here in our website, and we use them in our scrapbook. These Photo Galleries also give instructions for accessing other photo sharing websites.
Many of you may be wondering how David and I met. I had just returned from Florida and found myself working as a Bartender at Lake Valley Golf Course, Dave or as everyone calls him "Sheik" would often come to the bar after a round of Golf and order a glass of water from me. I was very curious about him, his energy was grounding and he seemed extremely real, all his friends and acquaintances held him in such high regard and always had the nicest things to say about him. I was at a point in my life where I was very happy being single but yet there was a part of me that really wanted to get to know this man that kept appearing in my dreams. After a little bit of flirting we connected and he offered to take me out and show me around. Just as God had planned he was heading up to the mountains that weekend to play Golf and asked if I would like to meet him up in Breckenridge. When I arrived we found each other and my love for him was overwhelming, we connected on such a deep level and I knew I would spend the rest of my life with him. There was definitely uncertainty along the way and many hurdles to cross, one of the biggest being that I had a 3 year old daughter. Sheik at the time had no interest in being a father but because we had such a strong love growing inside of us we moved forward in faith. We dated for a couple months before Sheik and Jazz met, but in my heart I knew no matter how much I loved this man, we would not be together if Jazz and he did not bond. The first time they met we had planned a trip to the Zoo and sure enough they connected instantly. The amazing thing is that he has always been her father and they just took another route in finding each other. And so I give thanks to God and the universe for bringing the perfect Partner and Father into my live, he completes the circle with perfect love and harmony which brings us home......
We were together for about eight months when we decided to elope and fly off to Vegas on Christmas and get married (which is a story in its self), after returning we got into a lot of trouble for not telling anyone and made a promise that we would have a ceremony and reception for all to enjoy. The time has come where family and friends will come together as we make a commitment to one another in the eyes of God. This is a very exciting time for both of us and I feel very blessed that my father will be joining the celebration all the way from Australia, it has always been a dream of mine for him to be present and to give me away on my wedding day. We will also be joined by Ellie, David's mom who has been such a gift and inspiration in my life. We welcome and look forward to you all attending this special day and thank you for helping us celebrate the beauty of two souls uniting as one. Please feel free to join us for the ceremony in Lyons or you are welcome to just attend the fun filled reception at Dollin's. Blessings to all.
